Design of a museum of modern art at the site of an old power plant in Havana. The original building is 14 m wide, 54 m long, and 12 m high. The brief included the conservation of the historic façade and to create an appealing meeting place space for the national and international artists and visitors.
The multi-functional building therefore radiates openness and fits in the urban fabric of Havana. The museum contains an exhibition center that has permanent and temporary exhibition spaces (accommodating 100-150 viewers), ateliers, a library, and a bar/restaurant/cafe.
